Previously, a military hospital offered to perform the surgery, but said that they cannot promise the girls could survive the intervention. The surgeon from Great Ormond Street Hospital, Owase Jeelani and plastic surgeon Prof. David Dunaway had already done such a separation back in 2011 and the medical field kept developing ever since.
