Johnny Depp and Tony Angelotti
Tony Angelotti was Depp’s body double in all five Pirates of Caribbean movies, for which he won two Taurus World Stunt Awards for the best fights. Depp wasn’t a fan of doing his own stunts, as he once hurt his back when filming “On Stranger Tides.”
Tony was also severely injured when filming Dead Man’s Chest in 2005 but has recovered. The director then said it “was one of the scariest moments ever. Simple things in Westerns are incredibly dangerous. I have such respect for the actors and stuntmen and directors. It’s really hard to make these movies because they are very dangerous.”
