David Niven was interrupted while introducing his guest presenter, Elizabeth Taylor, when Robert Opel, a photographer who worked for a LGBT magazine called The Advocate, ran onto the stage naked. Niven, ever the professional, didn’t miss a beat and merely remarked: “But isn’t it fascinating to think that probably the only laugh that man will ever get in his life is by stripping off and showing his shortcomings?”
