You know it’s bad when no less than 17 A-list celebrities call your performance “An embarrassment to both the Academy and the entire motion picture industry.” That’s just what they did in an open letter regarding the 1989 ceremony, however. It seems that many stars, including Gregory Peck and Julie Andrews weren’t terribly taken with the idea of a disgraced Brat Pack performing a song and dance with a Disney princess.
