Other Nearby Towns Were Destroyed Too
We so often hear about the devastation that destroyed Pompeii but little of us know about the other nearby ancient cities that were also ruined on that fateful day. As well as Pompeii, archaeologists are obsessed with the history of Herculaneum, a neighboring city that was home to 5,000 people which was also buried beneath millions of tons of ash.
