Most People Died From the Extreme Heat
Most people tend to assume that the people of Pompeii died when they were buried alive in ash however, archaeologists believe that the wave of intense heat killed most of the residents. The people of Pompeii were exposed to extreme heat of 570 degrees Fahrenheit which caused the ancient people to go into heat shock.
