Most teens want to get out of bed having superpowers, like the teenager in Percy Jackson & The Olympians who finds out he’s a descendant of a god. Even with the first two films doing well at the box office, the company felt that trying to make another was too much of a risk since the characters’ actors had grown out of their roles and that there was growing disinterest in the franchise.
