Besides being a wisecrack, accidental or otherwise, Elijah was smart to call 911. He was alone and locked inside his house. There was no imminent danger, but a child of that age shouldn’t be left unattended for that long. He was scared and wanted his parents. Not long after, two police officers arrived at Elijah’s house. He had successfully given Sara his address and she directed the police officers to keep an eye on him until his dad came back.
