Alsup’s task started when he offered to help shelters get their animals to a safer place before Hurricane Harvey. The shelters thought he had a huge truck, but he only had space for about for dogs, not dozens! That’s how he bought a bus, which he drove to the shelters in North Myrtle Beach, Dylan, Georgetown and Orangeburg to get 53 dogs and 11 cats to a shelter in Foley, Alabama.
