There Was No Hint of Wrongdoing
Tesco claimed their auditing system was quite thorough so that none of their suppliers ever exploit forced labor. In fact, the factory where the cards were sent from had been checked a month before the incident and there was no hint of any wrongdoing. But clearly, something major was going on behind closed doors.
