The Exchange
Shayla got in touch with the person responsible for the classified add. The seller, whose name was Maureen, was pretty straight forward over the phone and had quite a stern attitude. The two arranged where and when to meet and Maureen demanded it was cash payment only. And so, when the two met at a nearby parking lot Shayla handed over the cash to Maureen in exchange for her kitten, but a feeling of uncertainty crept upon Shayla.
