17. Suspicious Emperor
Tiberius is the emperor who followed after Augustus and history books show that he was really suspicious. Tiberius retreated to the island of Capri and he brought back the ancient accusation of maiestas (treason). The emperor didn’t shy away from sentencing to death anyone who he felt like was opposing him.
