6. Sold As an Animal
The poachers sold the girl to the brothel for a few pesos and a parrot. She was put to work and clean. She had to learn to become a human and speak. Marina acted like a monkey – she had no manners, she would find food, steal it and run away to eat it. She receive a new name: Gloria.
