Juan looked for the plane on the radar once more, but it was still untraceable. Subsequently, the airport sent three jets to try to track the Pam AM flight down, but to no avail.
But this was not the end of the story. Just hours after the plane had left Caracas, it was spotted again. This time, it had landed in Miami.
