When Would A Plane Turn Around?
We interviewed a few former and current pilots on whether it is common for them to turn a plane around because of inconveniences like this one. Although they all agreed that no one has left their child behind until now, they did suggest that turning the plane around isn’t standard procedure.
As they state, it is only done if there is a medical emergency or some technical difficulty. In this scenario, the procedure is much different, and usually, the child would be sent via another flight in the cockpit with the staff or pilots.
