Pilots Communicating Through The Radio
When the pilots talked to the mother and realized the gravity of the situation, they tried to explain the story in the best way possible to the operators. According to the radio report, one of the pilots asked, “May God help us. Can we turn around?”
The controllers were shocked and trying to understand the situation. The first step was to get the flight number and compare it to the existing schedule. Once they did that, it was up to the controllers to determine whether there was an official procedure for this scenario.
