By now, Potter started to form some theories about who was responsible, but without evidence, his peers dismissed him out of hand. He needed to properly exhume the bodies to get the proof he needed. But before Potter could get the bones, he ran into a roadblock. While the locals were desperate to find out what had happened, they wouldn’t allow the bodies to be pulled up – for fear of angering God.
