18. The Archosaur Lizard King

Before T. Rex was the king of Antarctica, the king was Antarctanax shackletoni (translated into “Antarctica King”). It lived around 250 million years ago, and it was around 4-5 feet long.
According to the head researcher at the Field Museum of Natural History (Chicago), Brandon Peecook, the creature “doesn’t have any adaptations in its feet that would make [him] think it lived in the trees or that it’s a burrower.”
