Fighting Back
After heated, yet respectful, negotiations failed, James attempted to get the prom’s manager involved. At that point, Clare said that Mrs. Duncan became enraged, repeatedly saying “I will not debate with you about this!”
So when James continued to press her even further, Mrs. Duncan snapped, calling on a chaperone to finish this once and for all.
