I Didn’t Have To Do Any Chores
My childhood was pretty unconventional in general, but as one point: my little brother and I never had to do chores. Our dad (who was stay-at-home; Mom was the breadwinner) insisted on doing everything around the house since our job was just “to be students” and do well in school.
I somewhat realized this was weird once I started watching Nick and Disney sitcoms and never had much to say when friends complained about having to take the trash out or do dishes, but I still didn’t much of it.
