I was 23 and on a date with a guy who was the same age. We decided to go see a movie, which he let me pick; I chose this rated R action film. When he realized what it was, he told me he had to call his mom to ask for permission.
I asked him if he was being serious and he looked over at me and said, “my mom knows best.” I dipped out of there and as I did, I heard his mom shout “no.”
