Daddy’s Girl
I told this story before, but I made a playful joke about my date being a daddy’s girl on a first date. Turns out, her dad had died recently, and my comment triggered her to cry. The first five minutes was just me awkwardly standing there trying to work out why she was crying and comforting this person I barely knew as best I could. Very awkward indeed.
