Sleeping in the Park

Source: Giphy

I was having a very rough morning a few years back. My little brother died after being hit by a drunk driver. While I was at work, I got pulled out of a meeting by my boss’ boss for a phone call. They called my cell phone a dozen times, but I had it turned off because of my meeting. I didn’t cry in the office, I walked to a nearby park and I cried there. I was there for quite a while when a couple of homeless people came up to me. We began to talk, and they felt bad for what had happened. That evening, we drank vodka from a jug and ate canned food with our bare hands. I slept in the park and woke up to find a blanket wrapped around me.  I was extremely grateful.
