A Lady’s Demands
One of my family members had been involved in a very serious car accident and I had to endure a lonely six-hour train ride to the hospital. Already distraught, I arrived at the station only to be met with cancellations and delays. I was sobbing, runny nose and all. A small older lady came over to me and in what seemed to be a miracle, gave me a cup of tea, a cheese sandwich, and a chocolate bar. She made me eat and we spoke about why I was upset. I was blown away by her kindness. She even gave me money for a taxi to get to the hospital.
