Smilodon
As far as extinct animals go, Smilodon is infamous. The enormous cat hunted in packs and only went extinct 13,000 years ago, that not that long in the grand scale of things. The carnivore had a set of 6-inch canines that were permanently out of its mouth due to their sheer size.
