H.P. Lovecraft Got It Right
When I was a child, I was struck by lightning – it was a direct hit. I was gone for about 3-5 minutes in total. The things I saw and heard while I was dead made me believe that wherever I was, was liquid. It was thick and flowing. There were distorted shapes and I found myself a bit stunned at how quickly I adapted and accepted this place. A decade later, I read H.P. Lovecraft’s The Crawling Chaos, and his description of his opium fever dream was very similar to what I’d experienced.
