A Bee Sting and a Body Slam
I was between grades 2 and 3, and back then, I had no idea that I had a bee allergy. I got stung on the corner of my eye while going to the neighbor’s house and because they weren’t home, I decided to go back to mine. My eye was swollen shut and I had hives everywhere, but my parents were unphased. I was only when they realized I had trouble swallowing that they rushed me to the hospital, which was 30 minutes away. I lost consciousness on the way there. I remember feeling like I was floating before being body-slammed back to reality.
