Chewy’s origins and past, as well as where the owner disappeared to, remain a mystery. Like any other case of domestic violence, such information wouldn’t be released even if it were known, of course. However, while this is Chewy’s story, it highlighted a much bigger issue that most people aren’t aware of. In such cases, when a couple splits up, animals often get caught in the middle.
