Fake Sugar Fans

Red pandas appear to like the taste of fake sugar, found researchers in 2009. They presented them with a bowl of water, a bowl of naturally sweetened water, and one with an artificially sweetened water. Red pandas chose the last one, showing that neotame, sucralose, and aspartame were their faves.
What’s more impressive is that they are the only non-primate species that can taste aspartame.
