Gas Breathers
Christian heard voices in the distance. “Where are you!?” Luckily for the ambitious explorer, his team had had second thoughts and came back for him. When they arrived at his location, they found him sat there with a huge grin on his face. Christian and his team discovered 33 species living inside the prehistoric cave that had never been seen anywhere else on Earth. In fact, the creatures had evolved to survive in the cave having never seen daylight and learned to breathe the gas that was toxic to humans. And that’s not even the creepiest part of their unique evolution.
