Too Far Down
Completely alone in the dark, dank cave, Christian reached out to get a feel for his surroundings. There was something on the cave floor below him. Previous explorers had found spiders and scorpions around the opening of the cave, but he desperately hoped that wasn’t what was on his leg. Needing his hands to steady himself, Christian headbutted his headlamp on the cave wall and suddenly the floor was illuminated. He stared at the creatures looking back at him as he desperately tugged on the rope to indicate to John that he’d found something. But all he got in response was a coil of rope on the ground.
