20. USS Scorpion
In 1968 USS Scorpion was headed towards the Azores on its way from the Mediterranean. As it was almost a week late, a search was initiated. Months later it was found on the bottom of the ocean, broken in half. Hundreds of pictures were taken but no one knows what managed to destroy the submarine.
