Weirdly enough, avocadoes are not toxic to humans, but very dangerous to most animals. The acid inside an avocado known as persin is poisonous, causing necrosis to the heart muscle and mammary gland in many animals. The avocado seed will kill birds, and the pulp can even kill a horse or a cow. Also, never feed your pets avocados!
