The Discovery
It wasn’t a branch. In fact, it wasn’t any part of the trees, at all. Out of the dried up mud protruded a wagon made of wood and metal, complete with huge spoked wheels and spring seating. Because the lake itself had low oxygen levels, the wagon’s body had managed to remain intact through the decades. More questions arose in the deputy’s mind… how did this apparently ancient vehicle end up here?
