11. The Cooking Grease Business
The Show: The 1998 “Lard of the Dance” shows us Homer and Bart recycling grease to make more money. They end up stealing it from Krusty Burger.
Reality: New York experienced a huge increase in such a theft! Thieves were so organized in stealing the grease from restaurants that the businesses ended up hiring private investigators to find out who stole it!
