20. The “All-mighty Dollar”
The Show: In one Simpsons episode from 1996, called “Team Homer,” TV evangelists were shown worshipping “the all-mighty dollar.”
Reality: In 2013, Pope Francis he talked about unemployment and the globalised economic system, warning that “the world has become an idolator of this god called money.”
All these predictions are pretty accurate and we have to admit it’s all a bit creepy!
