The chicken sandwich seems like it has been around for centuries but it really hasn’t! Before Chick-fil-A burst onto the scenes in 1964, no other fast-food restaurant had a chicken sandwich on their menu.
The creation of this dish came when the founder of Chick-fil-A, Truett Cathy, received a surplus supply of chicken fillets and decided to put them in a butter bun. The rest was history!
