Jack walked into the room and sat in his bed, but he still refused to close his eyes at night. He still feared he would end up at the shelter sooner or later, and thought the best way to stay on guard is to be awake all the time. Luckily, as time passed, Jack felt safer in his new home, and one night, he finally fell asleep next to the couple’s bed. His owners were so relieved.
