In the cemetery, it’s unusual to see a cemetery angel with one wing up and one wing down like this one in the image. This seems like it was designed to be depicting motion as if to say to the deceased, “Let’s go! Our work here is done, but there is more to do in another sphere.”
This angel may have also guarded this deceased during mortality.
