Lambs
If you’re Christian, you might recall John 1:29 of the bible which says, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” This explains why you might come across images of lambs at the cemetery.
Lamb carvings also mean virtue and goodness, making them a moving sight on headstones.
