The Funhouse Mummy

Many urban legends that are based on real life involve a dead body or two. Supposedly, legend goes that someone discovers that a prop they were using at a funhouse actually belonged to a dead body. This legend became oh-so real in 1976 during the filming of “The Six Million Dollar Man.” The crew was setting up a haunted house in Long Beach, California’s Nu-Pike Amusement Park. Suddenly, the “hanging man’s” prop arm came off and revealed the bones of a train robber from 1911 named Elmer McCurdy.
