Facebook’s ‘Friendly Fraud’
According to a class action lawsuit, parents were completely shocked to find out that Facebook had tricked children into wasting thousands of dollars on purchases for online games like PetVille and Angry Birds. According to court documents, Facebook itself internally used the term “friendly fraud” to describe its practices.
