In Singapore, the bamboo material is a popular tool for drying clothes. The pipe-socket system requires attaching wet clothes onto bamboo poles. Much like flagpoles, they are slotted into sockets outside windows. However, drying clothes in confined spaces puts the residents at increased risk of musculoskeletal disorders.
