People in Slovakia Keep A Live Carp In A Bathtub Before Cooking It for Christmas Dinner

Believe it or not, but there’s a tradition in Slovakia when people leave a live carp in their bathtub for a couple of days so it could clean its tract, as carp are bottom feeders. The children get to name the fish. The family doesn’t bathe during this period for obvious reasons. Some people admitted to feeling bad for the poor carp and letting it go.
