In Taiwan, People Treat Everything As Sacred
No matter what you give to the locals in Taiwan, they will treat it as sacred. For example, if two people meet at a conference and one of them gives another their business card, the other person wouldn’t just quickly stuff it into their pocket but delicately accept it with both of their hands. It would look like they’re holding a fragile piece of expensive jewelry or another expensive item that could fall and break at any moment.
