It Can Be Hard for Foreigners to Make Friends in The Netherlands
The Netherlands is an awesome country with hundreds of places to see, but it’s much more fun to explore them with friends. One big disadvantage of living in the Netherlands as a foreigner is that it’s hard to make friends with Dutch people, especially if you don’t study or work with them. Their friend groups are tight, and they often hesitate to welcome new people. It’s pretty common to meet people at parties and exchange contact information and later find out that they aren’t interested in hanging out with you ever again.
