The Villisca Axe Murders
Throughout the years, there have been several possible suspects in the murders, with one man — Reverend George Kelly — standing trial twice for the crime but ultimately being acquitted. It’s been theorized that the Villisca axe murders are related to a larger string of axe murders that occurred throughout the country for over a decade.
