Ari — Helena Bonham Carter
In the 2000 Planet of the Apes remake by Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter played as chimpanzee Ari. She said it took around 4-5 hours to get that look for the cameras, a “cumbersome and crippling” process in which she had enough time to learn how to convey emotion through her voice.
