Desperation
The girls were growing worried now, but it was too late to change their minds. So with a reckless tenacity, they continued on with the plan. They had removed all the furniture in the house and it was sitting out on the front lawn, where it had been abandoned. They worked with a desperation only a teen with impending punishment would know. Any minute now, they knew that parental discipline could come raining down on them.
