Getting Hands On
Unfortunately for Lynx, her mom passed away. She received a reasonable inheritance from her mom and purchased five acres of land 12 miles outside of Twisp, Washington. This seemed like the perfect spot for Lynx to settle in; her home base became a cabin built by the previous owners. She used a wood stove to heat the space, read by the light of a tallow light, and collected water from a nearby river, preferring it to what comes out of a tap. But Lynx still had so much more to prove.
